I’ve decided to save some money this year, and bestowal myself a night of some seriously needed relaxation. It’s the perfect gift right now, and clearly demonstrates that some of the best things during these holidays are not monetary. Merry Christmas to all. Phew, Om, Ahhhhhhh…..

Fantasy Football
I made it to the finals in of both my Fantasy Football Leagues! between the two of them there is about $1000 to be won so I think I have every right to be happy. Plus, this money is badly needed right now. Yes I know that I’m a geek, but it’s a great way to make the football season a little more interesting during the year. When in Rome you must do as the romans do. The United States...

Episode 396: #1 Party School
While at work today my podcast of choice was this weeks episode of This American Life. If you don’t subscribe to this podcast you should, because it is amazing. Check it out on iTunes or www.thisamericalife.org. It’s the best show you will ever listen to, plus best of all - it’s free. This weeks episode got me to thinking. I miss the optimism that I had while in college. I was...

This whole Tilt/Shift movement in photography is fascinating but this is the first time that I have seen it done on video.

Sunday
I decided to take is easy today. It’s already afternoon, and I still haven’t gotten out of bed. I’m still trying to recover from a tough work week. I spent most of the day on tumblr and watching football. My fantasy football team is in the playoffs and the winner of the league will be the proud owner of $700. This money is desperately needed now that the compressor on the...

December Rain
Its pouring rain over here in Northern California today. I usually don’t mind the rain, except that today I had to be out in it for most of the day. I have pretty good outdoor gear from REI, but even that started to leak. At least the Gor-Tex in my shoes held up. There is nothing worse that soggy socks on a cold winter day. Furthermore, the wind made it exceptionally cold today. It really...

Real Recovery: Is college worth the high cost? →
As a person who has a masters degree, I can tell you that the value of a college education has changed. Our world is so technical now that just having some broad based liberal arts degree really doesn’t mean anything other than the fact: you were able to afford the tuition, and jerk off five years of your early adulthood doing who knows what. I definitely wouldn’t bet the farm on...
